On January 26, the 2022 Opening conference of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy successfully held, which reviewed and summarized the achievements of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy in 2021, and clarified the development goals and important tasks of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy in 2022. Group Chairman Zhang Bo, Party Secretary and General Manager Zhang Hongxia, Director and Deputy General Manager Zhang Yanhong and other Group leaders attended the meeting, more than 130 staff representatives of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy attended the meeting.

The conference was conducted online and offline in strict accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control. Ding Xiaodong, co-director of Weiqiao-UCAS Joint Laboratory of UCAS, chaired the meeting.

Gao Peng, president of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy Advanced Technology Research Institute and Bohai Advanced Research Institute, delivered a report onthe Development of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy in 2021 and the Prospect of Work in 2022.

Hong Yong, deputy director of Weiqiao-UCAS Joint Laboratory OF UCAS, delivered a report onthe Innovation Mode of Science, Education, Innovation and Production Integration.

The person in charge of each business unit and each management and support center of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy expounded the 14th Five-Year Plan and 2022 business objectives of each unit in a simple way based on theory and practice.

Shiping Public Welfare Foundation and Binzhou UCAS Weiqiao Education Group, with the purpose of "Charity Weiqiao, Responsibility Weiqiao", also made clear the development direction and annual important goals at the conference, to promote the development of education and science and technology, and make positive contributions to regional development.

Zhang Hongxia, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Weiqiao Pioneering Group, read out the decision to commend advanced collectives and individuals in 2021.

Prof. Jiang Lei, academician of the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dong Jichang, vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Deng Yong, president of Shiping Foundation, addressed the meeting respectively.

Chairman Zhang Bo made a speech at the end of the meeting. Zhang Bo, Chairman of the Board, first thanked UCAS and the cooperative institutes for their continuous support. Meanwhile, he praised the achievements of Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy and affirmed its future development goals and tasks.

Zhang Bo, Chairman of the Board, said that Weiqiao Pioneering Group would give long-term and full support to Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy for a period of ten years. He encouraged everyone to be patient, took a long-term view, did things well and did things for a long time, contributed to the development of the country and the region and created a new way for the upgrading of real industry and hard technology innovation.
